The bull market is coming, how to participate after Aleo mainnet? Which method to choose?
2024 is coming, with the passage of BTC ETF, BTC halving, interest rate cuts and other good news, the establishment of the Aleo Foundation, Alex stepping down as the company’s CEO, Aleo completing the code security audit, etc. These time rhythms mean that January is about to usher in Come to Aleo mainnet online.
So how to participate in the Aleo project after being on the mainnet? Which method to choose? We have roughly summarized the following methods:
1. Primary market
The primary market mentioned here is mainly focused on investment, such as private equity quotas or the acquisition of test points. However, the risks here are very high and there are many scammers. You still need to be careful in investing carefully.
Another one is that there should be a gap between the main network and the exchange. At this time, the wallet can also transfer funds, and there is an opportunity to directly purchase some original points offline.
2. Secondary market
There should be opportunities in the early stage of the secondary market. After all, the real big players should be in the second half of 2024, so there are still opportunities for early layout to hit higher prices. Look at FIL that year. As far as we know, there are also people who are in the trough period. I absorbed a lot and then cashed out at a high of over $200.
3. Provers
This is what we call WK. We divide it into several situations here:
A. Graphics card machine
Note here that the Aleo project currently only supports N cards. Someone may crack the A card after it is on the mainnet. I don’t recommend the 1 series for N cards. The 1 series is too backward, has low video memory and high power consumption. It is recommended to start with at least Series 2, preferably Series 3, with at least 8G of video memory. As for the platform, both AMD and Intel are acceptable. If you have other needs, such as AI rendering, you can choose AMD. If not, Intel’s original Ethernet platform is actually sufficient, either X99 or B85 or B75.
If the graphics card is involved, look at the following situations:
(1) Own graphics card
Generally these are reserved for projects that mined Ethereum or other small currencies in the past. If the number of cards is relatively large, several hundred or more than 1,000, it is recommended not to join the pool and focus on SOLO. For Aleo, SOLO is actually quite All SOLOs form a pool, which is actually the same, and can be divided and sold on the same day, which is safer and more flexible. The key is to find a hoe service provider with high computing power.
(2) Newly purchased graphics card
In the 3–2 phase of last year’s test network, an X99 motherboard was priced at a premium of nearly 10 times. The result was very exaggerated at the time, and this did not include other products, such as CPUs and so on.
If the number of new purchases is relatively large, the same is true. It is not recommended to join the pool. Focus on SOLO and find a hoe service provider with high computing power.
(3) Rent cards, rent computing power, and rent cloud servers
These methods are also commonly used in the 3–2 stage of last year’s test network. You should pay attention to renting a cloud server. There have been cases of being F’ed before. After all, it is a domestic server.
Renting cards and renting computing power are relatively flexible, both can be settled on a daily basis, and the prices are okay. Last year, it was cheaper in Russia because the electricity bill was cheap, but after all, it is a cross-border business with risks.
B. FPGA and ZK server
If you have a ready-made FPGA, it still has advantages. If you are investing in a new one, you still need to make a comprehensive comparison.
As for the ZK server, the biggest problem is that it may not be available in the future because it cannot survive to the end. Even if it is said that it can participate in other ZK projects, there are currently no clear incentive plans for other projects in the short term. When the computing power of the entire network increases rapidly, there will soon be no profit. After all, the power consumption is there.
C. ASIC
In the end, only ASIC will be able to carry it to the end. There is no doubt about this, and there is still a lot of room to further reduce power consumption, so those who have the strength can plan in advance. After all, ASIC production and shipment must be scheduled. Definitely first come first served. When the computing power of the entire network increases rapidly and other models have no profit or the profit is very low and the return of capital is slow, whoever has ASIC will be the absolute winner.
4. Staking
The Aleo project is really special. It is the only leading project so far that integrates POS+POW, and the income of POS is higher than that of POW. After all, the consensus is POS, so there will be many ways to play after it is launched on the mainnet.
I believe there will be many channels to launch Staking products, such as wallets, pools, exchanges, DeFi, and even games, etc., and there will be many people who can participate.
At the current test network stage, we see that there are 60 nodes. According to the official plan, it can support up to 500 nodes. Each node must have 1 million points, which means that 500 million points will be locked in the end. There are many benefits, such as locking in liquidity and controlling prices. Of course, the premise is that there must be a certain rate of return. Therefore, all validator nodes have the opportunity to become the Aleo version of “Lido”, and the competition will be very fierce.
5. Grants
For developers, after entering the main network, the official should focus on supporting the ecology. Whether it is from the distribution of the initial economic model or the support of 150 million Tokens emphasized when the foundation was established, there will be opportunities to profit from it. , and may even receive investment and strong support from officials and foundations. I believe Aleo’s ecosystem will flourish.
6. Ecological interaction
For those who want to lay out the Aleo ecosystem in advance, you can focus on it. There will definitely be more ecological projects after it is launched on the main network. And with the maturity and popularization of standards such as ARC20, I believe there will be more short-term and ecological projects. Opportunities for early participation in rewards such as NFT.
The above is the participation method we have summarized. I believe there will always be one suitable for you. The leading projects in 2024 are worth looking forward to, so be prepared!
