The people who mined Aleo’s first pot of gold were not the miners, but them…
Aleo’s team is a far-sighted team that pursues long-term development. They work steadily, knowing that for a blockchain project to survive longer in fierce competition, the most important thing is the prosperity of the ecosystem, just like Ethereum, otherwise it will just be A flash in the pan (a typical case in the privacy track is a certain fish).
Therefore, Aleo has launched a number of funding/incentive programs/bug bounties to support and maintain the development of technology/ecology, which can be regarded as spending money wisely.
Among them, the deployment incentive list just announced two days ago:
Let’s briefly review the deployment incentive . First, its purpose is to:
Aleo launched deployment incentives during the third phase of Testnet 3 to encourage developers to write and deploy applications on the network. Our goal is to drive organic usage of the Aleo protocol and create an initial set of useful programs for our on-chain program registry.
The incentives were announced on May 2, 2023, officially launching the program and accepting submissions from June 21, 2023, to August 21, 2023. These dates represent a snapshot of eligible submissions that could earn rewards. By the end of the incentive program, we had received over 1,000 valid submissions (excluding spam). We then narrowed it down to 130 commits that had completely unique GitHub repositories. These submissions are broken down by category as follows:
The last article only announced the top 10 projects, but you may have overlooked the other winners, that is, the top 50 projects will all be rewarded!
Determining the shortlist of the top 10 submissions was no easy task. There were so many high-quality submissions; in many cases, the voting eventually closed. That’s why we decided to allocate an additional 1 million Aleo points to an additional 40 projects in the top 50. We were impressed by the submissions and will split this additional award equally. This means each of the 40 projects will receive 25K Aleo points.
This shows that developers of small projects also receive big rewards! (As far as I know, it is not impossible for one person to develop a small tool project) One project requires 25,000 Aleo points (this point does not need to be redeemed at a discount! The points mined by the miners in the second phase of the third test are 5: 1Exchange mainnet online).
Assuming that the value of Aleo on the mainnet is 10u each, 25000*10*7.35=1.837 million, about 2 million.
If there is only one person in the team, it can be said to be another example of technology starting from scratch! (Suddenly I regretted why I didn’t learn programming) They may be the first batch of diamond hands to dig into the Aleo gold mine!
Of course, Aleo’s generous rewards must be in the hope that these projects can take off and develop in a better direction! So I would like to congratulate and wish that the ecological project can truly develop, develop with Aleo, do greater things, and create great products!
In addition to developers, large institutional verifiers also have good news:
For Testnet 3, we added 55 validators based on the application released a few months ago. These validators will have the opportunity to run on the network and receive rewards for participating. These incentives are designed to stress test our consensus mechanism, AleoBFT, and find any attack vectors that could impact the mainnet.
We will share more details about this incentive program soon and publish the results once these validators complete the process.
The last piece of good news: Aleo’s focus is really on officially launching the mainnet!
Aleo’s main focus in the coming months is the official launch of mainnet. As in all Testnet 3 incentive programs, we have the opportunity to see how provers and developers function in a live environment. The last group of network participants we need to test are validators.
